A Comparison with
Cylinder Cutters
KAMA
Automatic Die Cutters are an efficient alternative to cylinder cutters.
They are of modular design and can be retrofitted. Benefits:
|
|
KAMA Automatic Die Cutters can be used more flexibly:
they are also capable of processing cardboard of more than
500 gsm up to 1,500 gsm, micro-corrugated cardboard and several
plastic materials. KAMA Automatic Die Cutters can be fitted
with a Hot Foil Stamping Module for additional finishing
processes. The KAMA ProCut 74 model can additionally be fitted
with a Hot Cut Module and a Hologram Module to facilitate processing of plastic
materials and foils. |
| |
|
Less to no nicks are required thanks to the gentle sheet
travel in one plane. This improves blank quality and facilitates
stripping. Additional guillotining becomes superfluous. |
| |
|
Stacking heights in both feeder and delivery unit
are about four time as high. |
| |
|
Very high register accuracy
and great creasing quality of the KAMA Automatic Die Cutters. |
| |
|
With a speed of up to 5,000 sheets per hour, KAMA cutters
clearly outperform the cylinders. |
| |
|
Changing the set-up for new sheet sizes is much
simpler with KAMA Automatic Die Cutters. This holds true particularly
for creasing blade set-up. |
| |
|
The robust KAMA cutters require only little maintenance
and have short downtimes. |
| |
|
The maximum sheet sizes are perfectly suited to
modern printing presses. |
| |
|
The compact KAMA cutters do not require more space
than cylinder cutters which can process the same sheet sizes. |
| |
|
KAMA offers special chases for the use of existing
dies; e.g. as previously used in cylinders, hand-fed and
other flat-bed cutters. |
| |
|
KAMA Automatic Die Cutters are built in compliance with
all international safety regulations. |
